The Accident: 

The purpose of the flight is not known. Frederick Eichman experienced a fire in flight and crashed in the north slope of a small hill, 2.5 km SW of the glider airfield Sandskeið.

The crash site was visited by stridsminjar.is 23.10.2010, 30.5.2012 and 25.7.2012.
