Armstrong Whitworth Whitley Mk VII.
The Incident:
Whitley Z6810 WL-A and Whitley WL-O were being ferried from Wick in Scotland to Reykjavík. The aircraft encountered bad weather and WL-O returned back to Wick. Nothing was heard from WL-A, an extensive search for several days turned out to be unsuccessful.
